He glanced at her, his eyes turning cold. "Is that so. I can't wait to see what daddy brings to go against me," he said, his voice a growl, as he put his hand on her cheek, digging his nails into her cheeks.
Alianna winced but refused to call out as his fingernails dug deep enough to draw a small amount of blood. She met his eyes fiercely. "You are a fool, Threuss. You will die."
Threuss blinked down at her, looking amused at her antics. "Well, I have been outrunning death for quite some time. Let's see if he can catch up to me," he chuckled, letting his hand fall to his side. "I'll be heading out now. But please, stay a while, I'm sure my men would quite enjoy your company," he continued, turning on his heels and walking out of the tent with his hands behind his back.

The girl watched him go, her eyes filling with fear as soon as he stopped looking at her. Even though she had her servant, she now felt very much alone. She was afraid, truly afraid, for the first time in her life. "Serena," she whispered hoarsely. "What are we going to do?"
Serena swallowed, a large pit forming in her stomach. "I...have no idea," she replied, shaking her head. She cleared her throat, trying to keep her mind from muddling further. "We...we have to get out of here," she finally said, starting to struggle against the rope. "Even if we can't do much, the best we can do is fight back."
Alianna hesitated for a moment, then looked over her shoulder, trying to see Serena. "Serena... did anybody ever tell you about my family's history with sorcery?" Alianna continued to struggle against the bonds, hoping that their combined force could break the rope.
Serena blinked up at Alianna, her mouth turning into a thin line. "Yes, m'lady. Your father had told me about it, when I came to the castle. Though I have personally never seen you use it, is there a reason?" She asked, halting her movements for a moment.
Serena eyed the princess, for once looking like she was truly seeing her. "If you say so," she hesitantly replied, looking a little too scared for someone who had been around her for so long. "B-be careful," the servant stuttered, her eyes growing wide.
Alianna closed her eyes, concentrating, and allowed her wrists to come very hot. The ropes began to smart her skin, and then they began to become embers. They finally burned off. Alianna stood quickly and went to the side of the pole where Serena was. She took her ropes off her wrists and smiled weakly. "Come on. We can maybe sneak out."
Serena stared at Alianna, a new emotion appearing: fear. Though she knew what her princess could do, it frightened her of what the result could be. The servant swallowed, glancing away from her, taking a small step back and hugging herself. "Ri-right, let's go," Serena murmured, not looking up at Alianna.
The words did nothing to sooth Serena, though she slowly crept towards the flap of the tent. She wanted to be a safe distance from the princess, even though, deep down, she wouldn't do anything to Serena. As she neared the flap, she froze, hearing voices outside.
"-good man, I have orders to see our prisoners," came a voice who sounded eerily similar. "If you will let me throu-" A squawk sounded, as the two shadows disappeared on the side, a thing hovering near the door. The hawk that had grabbed Alianna's hair from yesterday swooped in. As it saw the two girls untied, it let out a screech, flying around them in a circle.
Alianna gave a little yelp and her reflexes made her make fire fly up around them. "Serena! Stay close to me!" She aimed for the bird, almost hitting it.
Serena hesitated for a moment, torn between wanting to stay by her princess or stay away from her magic. The hawk had startled her, instantly jumping back towards Alianna, though as she realized, she took a small step forward, grimacing at the princess.
The hawk seemed surprised at the sudden burst of fire, screeching again and dived towards Alianna. As it got an inch away from her face, it swooped back up. Clicking its beak, it stared at her warily, eyeing the fire.
(Lol she's like Elsa but with fire and she can control her magic xD)
Alianna shot at he bird again but missed and instead hit he fabric of the tent they were in. She yelled as she made the fire around them go away and then grabbed Serena's arm. She hurried towards the tent flap and rushed outside, pushing past soldiers as the tent they had been in began to steadily burn
The hawk let out another screech and flew out of the tent, heading for its master. Solec had indeed been fighting with one of the soldiers, though it was cut short when he saw his bird. "Essom, is something wrong?" He called to the hawk, holding out his arm. Essom landed on his arm and let out a series of clicks, pointing its beak towards the tent. Sorec's eyes widened as he saw that it was now on fire. "Sh**!" He cursed, racing towards the tent, slowly unsheathing his sword. --- Serena struggled to keep up with Alianna, her feet slapping the ground. "W-where are we going?" She asked, glancing around fearfully.
Alianna panted as they raced on, shaking her head. "Somewhere open where I can fight in earnest," she said, hoping that they weren't being pursued at the moment. They finally broke out into a clearing in the forest, where she whirled around and conjured an earth wall around them. She added a ceiling and then sat down. "This should hold for a while until we gain our breath again."
Serena bent down, her hands on her knees, gasping for air. "W-we need to get out of here," she said, her voice hoarse. She deliberately didn't say where they needed to get away from. Her eyes glanced over the quick earth house, her eyes clouded with suspicion and fear. "M'lady," she continued, the word seeming forced, "we can't waste time just sitting around."
