She gritted her teeth, looking like she was torn between following after her or staying behind. Sucking in a breath of air, she followed after her slowly. "Alright, alright," she muttered, trying to catch up with Alianna.
Alianna gave a private grin and then led the way to the courtyard of the castle. There was a man giving orders to me. loading food off of carts. "Excuse me, sir... my friend and I need jobs and we were wondering if the castle is hiring."
The man glanced up, eyeing the two ladies warily. He wiped the back of his hand along his forehead and was quiet for a few moment. "Maybe it is, maybe it isn't," he muttered, his voice rough, "what makes you think you're fit to be in this here castle?"
Alianna swallowed her nerves and gazed at the man. "I think that we are fit to work because we understand that castles take a lot of people to run properly and we won't complain about working. We will work hard, too," she said quietly. "We also would like to find out where we are, and perhaps see a map. You see, we were working in the field of our lord and we were captured as slaves by a hill tribe. We escaped after a few days' travel, but we do not know where we are."
The man grunted. "As you know, I cannot just let anyone in," he finally said, putting his hands behind his back, eyeing them up and down, as if they were animals ready to be slaughtered. "I will need to put in a few names, perhaps your lord's name?" He suggested, "the name could be used to help you get into here."
Alianna nearly lost her cool. She hadn't thought about names. She blinked. "My name is Lily and my friend's name is Rose," she said calmly, eying two plants nearby. She gazed back at the man. "My lords name is... Lord Thieni," she murmured, thinking of the father of one of her best friends. "We were recently hired so he might not have had time to put our names in his ledger."
He nodded, giving them a curt bow. "Give me a second, I'll be right back," he said, turning around and walking towards a large door. He opened it and disappeared inside of it.
Serena drummed her fingers against her thigh, turning to Alianna and raising an eyebrow. "'Lily and Rose'?" She asked, a smile slowly appearing, "that the best you could've thought of?"
Serena nodded. "Most definitely," she agreed, "hopefully they'll allow us to get into the castle..." As she finished, the door opened again, revealing the man. He walked up to the two and nodded to them.
"Ladies, I have gotten you a meeting with the king. Please, follow me," he said, gesturing for them to follow him. He turned around and walked to the door, opened it, and walked inside, holding the door open for them.
Alianna blinked as the man came back outside and announced that they were going to meet the king. She threw a sidelong glance at Serena and then walked inside, revealing a storeroom full of foods and barrrels of ale. She waited for the man to lead the way to the king.
(I wasn't sure who you wanted to RP; the queen or the king. c: If you want, I can change it so I will play the king.)
The man nodded at them, before heading out of the storeroom. There was a long hallway, servants bustling here and there. There were no windows on the walls, giving this place a sense of being underground. As the three walked down the hallway, the servants slowly stopped and stared at them openly, not hiding their curiosity. Finally, after it seemed like the hallway wouldn't end, the man turned sharply and started walking up a spiraling staircase.
The man opened a door at the top of the staircase to reveal a large room. It was surrounded by tapestries along the walls, each one decorated with a griffon. Three chairs sat in the middle of the room, on a slightly elevated platform. Two men sat on the right and left chair and in between them sat a woman. The lady in the middle had dark black hair, with gray hair here and there. Her face was starting to wrinkle, making her seem quite gentle. The lady gave the three a warm smile. The man on the right had jet black hair, like his mother, though he sported his father's green eyes. Curiosity sparked his movement, as he gazed at the three.
"I see you've brought our friends, Killigan," the lady said mildly, slowly starting to stand up to welcome the three.

Alianna gracefully gave a curtsy to the royals. The king watched her then gestured for her to rise. She looked around the room in wonder. "Thank you, your grace, for seeing us. We were simply looking for a job and we did not know that we would be bothering your highnesses," Alianna said with a small smile. The king shook his head. "It is no trouble."
The queen smiled and walked over to them, holding out a hand to shake their hands. "Yes, please. We always need more servants after..." She stopped and shook her head, her smile turning weak. "Ah, never mind, I ramble too much."
Alianna took the woman's hand and shook it carefully. "Thank you, Your Grace." The king stood. "Then it is settled. Killigan, please take these woman to their quarters. They may start tomorrow. Tell them their duties and show them aroudn the castle."
The queen nodded and turned around, walking back to her husband and her son. She settled down, taking out her fan and flicking it out, starting to fan herself. Killigan put a hand on his stomach and bowed to them. "I take my leave, my graces," he said, before standing straighter and walking out of the room, gesturing for them to follow. As they were starting to leave, the prince was eyeing the three people, mainly Alianna.
