Alianna watched the prince for a moment or two until she was out of the room. She followed the two, watching Serena. (I was thinking that Alianna could be a person who waits on the prince or something xD)
Killigan led the two to a different door, leading them to a different hallway. He walked down another flight of stairs to lead to another large stretch of a hallway. Killigan walked up to two doors side by side, and opened them. Both rooms were identical; they were tiny, a small bed in the left side of the room and a small dresser to the side. A desk lay on the opposite side of the bed, looking a little run down. "Here are your rooms. You will start working tomorrow," he said, turning around and leaving them, before they could say anything.
Alianna sighed. "I wonder what he's doing right now," she murmured, walking into her room. "Well, good night. I'll see you tomorrow." She lay down on her cot and tried to sleep. It was infinitely uncomfortable.
Serena grunted a goodnight and slowly closed her door. She let out a sigh and settled down on her bed, pulling the scratchy blanket over herself. It was be a long time, until she would get sleep.
Alianna awoke the next morning in unfamiliar settings. It took her a moment to remember that she now worked for a king in his castle. She yawned and stretched, jumping when she heard a banging at her door. "Coming!" She quickly dressed herself before opening the door and looking out on Killigan.
Killigan gave Alianna a curt nod, before raising his hand to knock on Serena's door. The door opened before he could rap his knuckles against it. Serena nodded to Killigan and Alianna. "Good morning to you two," she said, giving them a small curtsy. The man nodded to Serena, before jerking his head for them to follow. "Lily, you will be waiting on the prince; this is a big day for him today. I don't need any mistakes happening. Do. I. Make. Myself. Clear?" Each word was slowly pronunciation, as if she was a daft kid.
Alianna nodded furiously. "Of course, sir. May I ask what the occasion is?" She looked at Serena when Killigan wasn't looking and shrugged, a baffled look on her face.
Serena shrugged, looking as baffled as Alianna did. Killigan raised an eyebrow, a frown growing. "You are joking, correct? This is the celebration where the prince is of age. Tonight, he shall be married."
Alianna nodded, seeing the importance now. "I see. I am not from this country, so I was not aware." Soon enough they reached the prince's room. Alianna looked back at Killigan and Serena and realized that she was supposed to knock on the door of the prince. She did so, only knocking thrice. She took a small step backwards, cast her eyes upon the floor, and awaited his call.
"Come in," the prince called. He was sitting on the window seat, the window open, his left arm draping outside of it. He wore a large white robe, looking like he was awaiting someone to get his cloths. The prince glanced over his shoulder and called, "Well, don't be shy."
Serena gave Alianna a thumbs up and managed a weak smile at her. Killigan closed the door and gestured for Serena to follow him. Letting out a sigh, Serena nodded and followed after Killigan.
The prince swung his legs back to his floor, putting his elbows on his leg. "Ah, you're from yesterday, correct?" He asked, bypassing her question.
He nodded, getting to his feet. "Thank you, I am looking forward to serving my king the best way I can," he said, his voice monotonous, like he had said it many of times.
