He threw his hands up. "You're purely abusive, you happy?" He demanded, frowning at her.

"Oooh, I sound like a terrible person," She laughed, shrugging, "I suppose I am happy."

"And you are," he replied bluntly, wrinkling his nose. "Good, so glad to have pleased you," he said sarcastically, giving her a mock bow.

"Look! I think that little building has some books in it," Alexianna pointed. The town wasn't too extravagant, so she wasn't sure what kind of state the books would be in, but it was a start.

"Are you sure we'd find something as minuscule as this lil' thing," He asked, an eyebrow slowly raising, "in here?"

"Nope! But you only asked for a library, so that's what I provided," Alexianna grinned.

He pinched the bridge of his nose, breathing slowly out through his mouth. "When I asked to see a library, I meant to figure what this was," he said slowly, emphasizing each word.

"Well, yeah, but I'm sorry that I don't have access to a King's library," She scoffed, pulling him toward the building, "We gotta make do with what we have."

"If we find anything," Elizah said, almost stumbling as she dragged him away. He was getting more and more surly as the day wore on...

"Don't be such a downer," Alexianna clucked her tongue, "You act like a crotchety old man."

"I'll stop acting like an old man if you stop acting like a spaz," he retorted, growling at her.

"I am not a spaz!" Alexianna muttered, pushing the doors open.

"Could've fooled me," he muttered back, rolling his eyes.

He grimaced and rubbed his arm. "I could tell," he muttered, frowning at her. Though he didn't appreciate her smacking him, he couldn't just smack her back. Though he was an assassin, he did have morals.

Alexianna shrugged, "You shouldn't call me a spazz."

"Next time I'll try to be more considerate in talking to you," he replied dryly.
