Alice, a wonderous girl, shy and colected, sweet and humble, she was never liked much and still isnt, by her parents, siblings or anyone at school. As a child and up to now in her freshman year has been hated and mistreated, abused and beaten, bullied and hurt. Shre hated her life and tonight when she got home from school she would end it. End her very existance. As she walked from class and to the bathroom a group of grls grabbed her long wavy black hair and pulled her into a stall, shoving her face into the toilet. Her bright blue eyes closed and from her full red lips a small scream erupted. They threw her under the sinks, her already bruised body hitting the wall. They kicked her and hit her while smiling. She wondered why, why they did this, and why her.

Once the girls had stopped and left she cleaned herself out and fixed her now wet hair then walked from the bathroom and put her head down.

Kent watched her pass with her head down. He'd often wondered about that girl. Don't think he hadn't noticed the bruises on her arms and face. He knew something was going on with her, though he wasn't quite sure what. He slipped around a group standing in between him and her and fell into step beside her. "Hey," he said quietly. He wasn't usually the type to be friendly.

She looked at him then back at the ground, she didnt know how to socialize anymore "h-hi" she said in her small sweet voice. Her eyes were just barely visible and her hair still dripped except for the dry tuft where they had grabbed her.

"Are you okay?" Kent asked gently. "I heard... something going on in there."

"Yeah im fine" she said tears welling in her eyes though she held them back, "just some girls"

[ᴄʀʏsᴛᴀʟғʀᴏsᴛ]

"Hey," Kent said, touching her arm gently. "It's okay. You just let me know if they bother you again, okay?"

She flinched when he touched her, afraid he would hurt her. "I-i"

Kent quickly withdrew his hand. "I'm sorry! Really, I didn't mean to freak you out." He looked at her with wide green eyes. "Are you okay?"

She looked up at him, "i-j-just please, i am already hurt" she said then ran through the crowd trying to get away, afraid he would hurt her as well

Kent stared after her, stunned. Did she really believe he would hurt her? Did he seem like that kind of guy? Maybe that was how people viewed him. He didn't talk much, after all, and tended to glare.

Once she got outside she hid behind the steps, why she was so paranoid everyone would hurt her, was because everyone did, she was the weak little punching bag everyone hated for reasons only society could claim her as weird, creepy, socially awkward, everything they said just hurt her more.

Kent decided to leave her alone. He didn't want to scare her anymore. He'd find a way to help her, though. Someday, she'd realize he wasn't the bad guy.

Alice walked into school the next day, her hair wavy down to the middle of her back, she got to her locker and practically hid her face behind the door from a group of girls a few lockers down

On the top shelf of her locker was a flower, a lily to be precise, with a note attached.

She looked up at the flower then picked it off the shelf /whats this/ she wondered

The note read 'Not everyone wants to hurt you. - Your secret admirer.'

She had never received something like this so she cherished it, placing it back where it had been and protecting it from sight by placing a book in front of it, not letting it touch it. She hid herself from the girls well until she realized the c lass she had to go to was the one they stood right next to. She bit her full red lips and looked around, for some escape.

Kent sat in the classroom of his first period, playing with the corner of his notebook out of boredom. Most people avoided even looking at him, let alone talking to him. It got lonely.
