"Come on," Ronin practically whined. "Why won't you tell me? I think it's cool, dude!"

"...dude?" he raised an eyebrow at the term before shaking his head. "My private life has nothing to do with you, so stop asking about it, nosy pants!"

"You're my brother, and you're talking about running away!" Ronin said. "It's totally my business."

Seyong huffed, crossing his arms over his chest. Better to get it over with now than have to deal with a whining Ronin over the phone 10,000 miles or more away. "Let's get this over with quickly. A few years ago I applied in a tryout to become a Korean celebrity. They thought I had a nice voice, accepted me, and now I'm a rising star. People know me almost all over the world, and the fact that I'm being emotionally and physically drained by my own mother is putting a strain on my career. That's why I'm leaving. That's why you're not coming with me. Understand?"

Ronin just stared at him with his mouth hanging open. Okay, he'd asked, but he had not been expecting an answer like that. "You... what?" he stammered. Not more of his more articulate moments.

"...oh god you're stupid." Seyong rolled his eyes, turning and walking down the sidewalk to the car. "I should have known! I should have guessed! I thought the whole coming home drunk thing and thinking you were sober was just because you were a doofus, but you really are stupid!"

"Hey!" Ronin protested. "That's not very nice. I'm just shocked. You're... a rising star? I mean, that's great and everything, but WOW."

Seyong rolled his eyes. "Look, demon, I don't care what you think about my career. It's not like I take it very seriously, anyway. As soon as you get lost in work, you become like my mother: wanting the perfect family, the perfect house, the perfect job. As soon as something becomes imperfect, you immediately have to change it. So don't go telling me 'wow' about work. And," the cat turned and looked at Ronin, fuzzy black cat ears popping out of his head and swiveling around, "if you change the channel on My Little Pony again, we're going to have a serious problem. You're going to have to face my stuffed animal court."

Ronin stared at him. He wanted to come back with some snarky comment like "Oh, I'm scared," but he didn't want to make Seyong any madder at him. "I would never," he said with a wry smile.

Seyong glared at him silently before whacking the male on the back of the head and getting in the passenger side of the car. "Let's go."

"Yow!" Ronin yelped. "What was that for?" He walked around to the other side of the car and climbed in the driver's seat. "I didn't do anything," he muttered.

"You're being a blockhead. Though, I really shouldn't be surprised. You've always been one."

"You haven't known me that long," Ronin said as he started the car. "You're being a bit of a child. Like always."

"You leave me and my babies out of this!" Seyong huffed, crossing his arms over his chest and glaring out of the window. "Anyway, you still haven't given me back Andy."

Ronin frowned, then understanding dawned on his face. "Oh, yeah. I forgot about that."

"Stupid elephant." Seyong huffed, glaring out the window still.

Ronin sighed. Well, this outing had just seemed to make Seyong hate him more. NOT what he was trying to accomplish.

Growing tired, Seyong yawned softly before closing his eyes and resting his head against the doorframe of the car.
