Aric // RPed by ~HeartShapedLocket~ He doesn't look like much- young, only twenty-four years with a youthful face. His dark brown hair is tousled and neat and he has eyes that look nearly black in the right light. But Aric Hornwood is much more than he appears. He is the eldest son, so when the recent death of his father came about, he took over the title immediately. Many had their doubts about him- Aric is an oddly eccentric young man. He's wickedly intelligent, having spent much of his life intensely studying with his tutors. When he had free time, Aric was taught how to fight, both the proper way and the...not so proper way. His father wanted to make sure that his son was cunning enough to take over his title. He couldn't have some sissy boy with no knowledge of power taking control. Their house would be destroyed within a month. So Aric learned well. He also took interest in many different subjects, some seeming quite risque or inappropriate. He never listened to the idle gossip and chatter- well, he did, but he never took it seriously. Servants and bored women could be easily silenced. That's also a part of his personality- Aric is very cruel toward anyone who exhibits weakness. Women, in his opinion, are only good for rearing children. He despises them in every other way. He really doesn't want a wife, merely because he won't want to deal with her, but he'll need to produce an heir eventually. But Aric's not stupid. He knows to remain loyal to House Stark and House Bolton, in order to keep up their friendly ties. Without backup, his family would be weak. And that's not something he'd tolerate. What makes the Lord of Hornwood so dangerous is that his cruelty is cleverly masked by a pretty face and a cunning wit.
