Loner Evos

X-x-X-x-X-x-X
Loner mutants aren't always technically "alone." Many of them are, because they ran away from home once they discovered their powers. These are the mutants that don't belong to any organizations. Some might live with other loners, or maybe even humans who may or may not know what they are.

Jonathan Reid
A 17 year old guy with black hair and misty, somewhat blueish green eyes. The rules of gravity don't apply to him, making it so he can fly. He can also move super fast and sense other mutant's powers. There seems to be a strong connection between him and Kat because they are brother and sister, and the two of them can sense each other anywhere in the world. His step father is the leader of Mutant Control, but he didn't know this for most of his life. When he was fourteen years old he discovered his powers, and that was when he ran away from home. He learned to survive on his own, which is easy when you can fly and move as fast as a bullet when you want to. He is absolutely and unconditionally in love with Jessi, even though he is well aware of how Conner and her feel about each other. It might sound stupid and ridiculous, and even he thinks it does, but he could have sworn they were soulmates. He would have shouted it to the world, not caring if they mocked him. But they had been growing apart, and he felt like it was probably mostly his fault. He has secrets that he doesn't want anyone to know about. He has a lot locked up inside, and he's growing closer everyday to his breaking point. Jonathan has a fighting spirit, though, and he won't give up. Recently Jonathan has been fighting again the Mutant Control, against his step-father, fighting for what he believes in. He feels like he was meant for this, to be great. Maybe not to save the world, but to be great. That's what his father used to tell him, the few years he had with the man. The first years of his life on his own, he hid and just tried to survive, but now he's actually doing something, fighting for something greater than himself. Without Jessi, it's the only thing he feels makes his life worth-while.

Blake Growl (Robin)
Even as a young girl, Blake was hyper observant. She never messes a single detail. Her mother enlisted her the top private schools where she learned basic knowledge of modern subjects, modesty, and adequacy. Her father is the one she learned the advanced—more outside worldly skills. He’s the best bounty hunter; he tracks down people for highly paying customers. In other words, her father’s a criminal. Once, when Blake was nine, she sunk her way into the back seat of her father’s car. He was on a serious mission. She hide and observed from a distance as her father approached a man she’d never seen before. She remembers the smell of heavy gasoline and bunting coal. They were at a factor. The man advanced on her father, getting a good swing on his face, she could hear the smack his first colliding with her father’s jaw and he fell backwards on his back. The man took a gun from his jacket, but before he could shot, Robin took out the knife she had earlier stool from her fathers truck, aimed, and threw it at the man while picturing hitting his brain. It stabbed his right in the middle of his forehead—killing him instantly. It’s not that Robin stuck out, followed him, and killed his target that shocked her father—it’s how perfectly she accomplished it. Her father tested her. He put her though easy conditioning at first, like shooting a bottle of coke of the gate and climbing a tree, but after exhibiting her agility and reflexes—he put her though more difficult tasks. Her father realized after all the changelings that no one can naturally be able to jump over a car, or hear a squirrel climbing up a tree
from miles away. Blake has the power of enhanced physical skills. She’s immensely fast and able to lift up cars to trucks, buses…et ctrea. She's able to dodge bullets, catch flies in mid-air, dodge and maneuver around complex attacks, catch falling objects, block detriments and react instantaneously. She can survive without supplies, resources, energy, or other items for an extended amount of time.Blake’s ears pick up every single sound, and can decipher layer upon layer of noise, she can pick up a conversation from a mile away in a busy city, she can detect specific smells, and locate their origin, she can even tell if some one is lying by which hormones they excrete. Blake can feel so acutely that to rub her hands on a paper would be like reading the page, sensing every bump, ripple of wave; she’s even able to tell distant occurrences felt though vibrations in the earth. Her vision is amazing, she can see with perfect clarity, distance, or color—day or night. Her most unique ability is her marksmanship. She has weapon proficiency: swords, bow and arrow, guns, whips, ropes, hammers, axes, daggers, boomerangs…anything she can get her hands on. For example: Blake can take a bow and arrow, picture the president, and shoot. If she’s in Africa, the arrow will disappear in thin air only to reappear seconds later in D.C., heading for the Commander and Chief of the Military.Which she would never do. Blake also has the ability called Tracking Evasion—hides her from followers and pursuers and avoid total detection/discovery. She can’t be found by satellite, echolocation, telepaths, psychic navigation…et ctrea. Anything she left behind, like foot-prints, hairs, smells, fingerprints…et ctrea will disappear. Her extraordinary talents and instincts make her invincible and dangerous. When Blake was 14-years-old, her father was murdered by an alien he was tracking. What pisses her off is she can’t kill it, because she doesn’t know what it looks like, nor can she track it since it’s not on earth anymore, so her powers are useless. Everything in her life has changed, she dropped out of school when she was 16, changed her name from Blake to Robin, which is fitting to her powers, and joined the government to catch criminals and put them to justice. She hasn’t told anyone of her abilities but her father, not even her mother knows. Every now and then, Robin takes her father’s bow and practices her powers in the woods. Today, she is the youngest special agent for the FBI at the age of 22.

Astrid Tor
Have you heard the stories yet? The things they whisper behind her back? They say she's a drunk, a druggie, insane. Well... really two out of three of those things are true. But she's not a drunk because she can't GET drunk. She drinks a ton, but her strange behavior comes from being high, not drunk. See, that's her power: she's "immune" to alcohol. Cool, right? Actually, it sucks when she WANTS to get drunk. After her whole family was killed in a car accident, while she survived it, she started to drink, only to find that she couldn't lose herself in the murky haze of alcohol. So then she turned to drugs. Being stoned isn't necessarily as good, but it's better than having a clear view of the world. Astrid is loud, assertive, flirty, and often downright dirty. She doesn't think about the consequences for the things she says and does--and for her, there usually aren't any. She's taken her pain and guilt and locked it away behind a sardonic, cynical facade. It's no surprise no one wants the girl who always gets in trouble. She's been pushed around to several foster homes, just trying to get her through until she's 18, but the families are only willing to put up with so many arrests. She's 17 now, so just one year to go. She has long, jet black hair and deep blue eyes that are always ringed with dark eyeshadow.

Logan Stars
A handsome young man of 17 years old with dirty blond hair and pale blue eyes. He's cocky, flippant, and over-all would be considered to be a jerk. Logan doesn't have some tortured, dark past that affected his personality. He just is the way he is, because he can be. At first, he seems charming enough, with a nice smile and easy way with words, but Logan is more likely to piss someone off than to charm them. He doesn't seem to care whether or not people like him, either. Sometimes he will purposefully anger someone, knowing all the right buttons to push. It seems that sometimes he wants to get a punch in the face. He's incredibly smart and good at reading people, which is why he knows just the right thing to say to make someone hate him. He's a trouble-maker, never doing what he's told and going off to do his own thing. Despite his flaws and unsavory attitude toward most other people, to those who know him, and have learned how to deal with him, Logan can be strangely endearing. Believe it or not, there are people he cares about, and when he cares he cares passionately. His power is to absorb a mutant's powers through a single touch. The mutant's abilities remain inact, he merely aquires the ability as well. Right now, the only abilities Logan has is that of his sister's and a girl he once dated, who had the power of telekinesis. He always has a chain around his neck with odds and ends of random stuff on it.

David Eldred

He looks young, but in reality he's about 500 years old. He was born in 16th century Britain, a mutant with the unique--though common in current times--power of immortality. He's probably one of the oldest mutants alive. Most scientists think that the evolution of humans into mutant happened in more modern times, but David is proof that they're much older than that. In fact, he might have been one of the very first mutants alive. It's interesting to consider. He's lived many lifetimes, and so he's had many lives. He's had to move from place to place to avoid being found out. At least, the first 350 years of his life he did. When other mutants started appearing, he realized that maybe he could reveal his secret. People might hate him for being a mutant, but at least he wouldn't have to uproot his life every ten years. And he did have lives, even if it only lasted ten years. He's found friends a hundred times. Fallen in love a dozen times. Each time the things he cared about were destroyed. Sometimes by enemies, sometimes by time, sometimes by his own mistakes. David puts on a good show of being a cheerful, light-hearted person, but deep down he's tortured. He has a darker side that few are unfortunate enough to see. See, along with being immortal, David has a rather... demonic side. When he's angry, he loses control. He has to keep a tight reign on the beast at all times, or it escapes. When it does, he comes a heartless, merciless killing machine. His skin burns, turning ashen gray, his hair disappears, his fingernails turn into claws. He becomes a monster. Last time the thing was unleashed, he killed a whole colony of people. Ever heard of Roanoke, the Lost Colony? Guess who's fault it was that all those colonists vanished? It's been a long time since that awful event, but it's still as stark in his mind as what happened yesterday. Maybe even more so. He's lost control more recently, but never on such a huge scale, around so many people. He lives in a constant fear that next time it happens, hundreds will die. He tries to stay away from large cities, but at the same time he's drawn toward them. Maybe it's the thing inside of him, constantly longing to kill, that brings him to live in populated areas, its desires bleeding through. Or maybe it's the simple hope of finding someone to live a few more years with, something to keep him going. Someone to love.

Reuben Rier
In this world, you have to be wary of almost everything that comes your way -who knows what could happen if you let down your ground. Especially if your in the category of being persecuted by the humans, you have to be on your toes no matter what happens. Reuben could be teased for how wary or nervous he is just stepping outside of his house. He has a nervous tick every now and then when he gets too nervous, a way for his body to release all that pent up nervousness. He doesn't like it when people follow him around, scared that it might lead to their demise because of the government zeroing in on him. Yes, that could sound egotistical, believing that you are the reason for someone's death, and it is. Despite all a nervous habit, Reuben is quite narcissistic, believing that all women swoon when he walks by, if he ever leaves his little and small underground "house", if you could even say that. This house has been the place where Reuben has honed his power, the house almost becoming a secret-hideout than anything else. His power is to control air, though he can only control a certain perimeter around him.
He has tried to push the perimeter, though it only exhausts him faster if he pushes it past nine feet, just below three meters. Despite his small range, he is able to control the air around him completely, letting him take it away from anyone or slice through their bodies with small hurricane-like razors of air. Taking away the air around him creates a sort of bubble around what area he is sucking the air up, giving his attacks a clear point of where it starts and stops. It gets even worse: Reuben has never learned how to keep a small bubble of air around him so he himself can breath when he sucks up power, so he can only hold up sucking up the air for as long as he can hold his breath. He only sucks the air up around him in very dire situations, knowing that this side of his power can only come in handy when he is surrounded by attackers who are close by him. He also rarely uses his normal long-ranged attacks, not wanting to attract the attention to him -to a lot of people, he is just a regular human who hangs out at The Refuge, who doesn't come out yet doesn't spill anything about the compound.
