Located in the middle of Europe, Idris is the Shadowhunter's homeland. It's home to those who have never even seen the beautiful green, rolling hills. Even the Shadowhunters who have never been to Idris consider it their true home. The country is warded against mundanes; any mundane who tries to cross the border to Idris will instantly be transported to the other border. Idris is a beautiful natural landscape mostly untouched by modern destruction. There are forests littered with vampire nests and werewolf packs. There are mountains that can only be crossed in high summer without freezing to death. There is a small system of towns throughout Idris, which are not very big and are sort of oriented around the one and only city, Alicante.
