Prisoners of ANEW

X-x-X-x-X-x-X
The prisoners of ANEW, or 'patients' as they call them. You don't have to do anything bad to end up here. You don't have to kill people or steal or commit any other crime. Just being an Evo makes you dangerous in the eyes of ANEW. The prisoners aren't kept in these cells just to rot--they are usually kept alive because they can be used, either to get information or to actually work for ANEW. The organization has a way of manipulating and blackmailing mutants into working for them. There are multiple aisles of cells in the 'ward,' with three levels of security. Each corridor lined with cell after cell on both sides. The cells are concrete, floor, walls, and ceiling. The only source of light comes through the barred window on the wooden door from the dimly lit hallway. Each cell is set with two tiny, open, paneless windows that lead into the adjecent cell. There is a cot, a 'toilet' (which actually has plumming; you won't be peeing in a bucket), and nothing else. Although the cells themselves are made of concrete, the outside hallway is constructed from a material designed to prevent sound from carrying.

Andi Marice
A pretty 17 year old girl with black hair that looks blue in bright lighting and misty blue eyes. She has a serene appearence, but underneath it she isn't all that innocent. She is strong willed and doesn't like to take orders from others, but of course, it's difficult to be independant when you're a prisoner. She is rebellious and is a real pain in the butt for the guards at ANEW, as she is always trying to escape. She doesn't seem to be afraid of anything, but that's just because she doesn't let her fear show. Her power is that if you make eye contact with her, she can put imagines into your mind, either peaceful images to lull you into a false sense of security or frightening ones to scare you away.

Jermon Ivory
An 18 year old guy with blond hair and stunning blue eyes. He is charming in an unintentional way and easy to get along with. He's nice and always seems to know how to make others feel better. He's extremely loyal and would never let his friends down. ANEW currently has control over him, because they threatened to kill one of his friends that they are holding prisoner. He's tried escaping multiple times, and sometimes he actually gets to the outside world, but they always catch him again in the end. He's starting to realize there's no such thing as escaping. His power is to change his appearance and voice to mimick other people. The only problem is sometimes his eye color doesn't change. And they're kind of noticable.

Marie Winson
A 38 year old woman with short brown hair and grey eyes. Even though she isn't kept in the cells at the ANEW complex, she is still very much considered a prisoner. She's watched by agents from afar. Marie was probably one of the only mutants of her generation to have parents who were mutants. She grew up in a loving family who taught her to use her powers, and to only use them for good. In high school, she met another mutant and married him shortly after she graduated. The two of them had two children together, and everything seemed wonderful. Then ANEW was formed. It was still a developing society, and didn't have much power, but it had enough power to kill Marie's husband. After his death, Marie took her children--ages 4 and 2--and ran from their old home. A few weeks later she met an old high school friend: Charlie Winson. She didn't know he was the founder of ANEW. She didn't know he hated her kind; all she knew what he proclaimed he loved her, and that he'd help her take care of her children. Charlie had a son--a little boy named Troy who was a year younger than her son--from a marriage that had ended shortly after it had started. The woman disappeared, and Charlie was left with custody. With no home, no money, and no job, on the run from ANEW, Marie agreed to marry him. It wouldn't be too bad; they'd been close friends in high school, even dated briefly, but she'd never love him like she loved her first husband. They lived together in semi-happiness for a few years, until Jonathan turned 13 and started to show his powers. Marie didn't know that Charlie was well aware that she was a mutant, and her children were, too. She tried to hide Jonathan's powers, telling him not to use them at all, which only served to make the rebellious young boy angry. A few weeks after his birthday he ran away, followed by Kitty not too many years later. It was after both her
children had gone that Marie learned who Charlie really was. She'd begged him to tell her why he founded ANEW, and he said it was because he hated mutants. So she'd asked why he married her, and he still said that he loved her. Like both her children, Marie ran away. She took what money she could--which was actually quite a bit--and left. Charlie didn't let her get far, though. She now lives a few towns away from the city she'd lived most of her life in, closely watched by ANEW operatives, but never confronted. She's not sure why he doesn't just have them drag her back. She is usually a very sweet and gentle person, but she can be fierce when she needs to be. Marie has the ability to see things that are happening in other places, and she spents a lot of time watching those close to her--Charlie, Jonathan, Kitty, and Troy. She knows more than a lot of people.
